Project Description

Manic Organic | 1999

Pumping percussive didjeridu cooks hot, creating a mixtured – textured blend of indigenous technorganica. For this project Ganga enlisted the help of electronic wizard & world music producer Don Peyote to write, record and mix technological beats with the tribal sounds of the Australian Bush. At the time of recording, Don Peyote’s studio was situated on a mountain top at the foothill of Wilson’s Creek Rainforest in Northern New South Wales. This magical and exotic location provided the inspiration for most of the tunes. The plethora of natural sounds heard on the album (birds, frogs and insects) were recorded by setting up a microphone outside the studio’s front door. Didjeridu, percussion and vocals by Ganga Giri
